High School Art 1 Non-Objective Collages

High school Art 1 students spent the past week learning about the different types of shapes that exist in the universe (and the difference between geometric and organic shapes), and examined artwork by artist Henri Matisse to inspire the design of a non-objective paper collage.

Students were encouraged to capture an emotion or song in their design and were limited to working with black, white, gray, and 2 colors of their choice.
